what did Sebby do now…
Out of the city. I’ve been sent down south for team building training. At last after such a long time, I see endless trees and millions of stars. All is dark. It’s good to be back in touch with the wild.
Hell yeah indeed. Perseverance. I finally completed a task which at first seemed so simple which I had thought would be completed in two or less days. Turns out it dragged on for the whole week and today, I finally sent it packing. Yup, its done and all ready to go.
That’s my tip for the kind readers today. Never give up, you will find your way.
Oh and last night, I went with Carol to the Thames Festival along the Victoria Embankment to watch the fireworks display after dinner. It was really good and worth the ten minutes we stood there for. I actually had captured the whole show on my camera but turns out the file was so big that I doubt there’s anyway I can share it with you all.
Till tomorrow – its a special day. Bye.
You decide. Personally, there isn’t enough evidence to prove what was told was the real story.
I was speaking to her this afternoon, I’ve not spoken to her for over a week. She’s been busy, she’s been trashed at work, she’s been down.
Hey all, its Sebby, and yes – I’m back.
Well you wanted to know what I’ve been up to these past few months? Okay, here are some updates.
I’m sitting here blogging during halftime of the Tottenham VS Manchester United game where United leads 2:1. Its a sunny afternoon, I went for a quick jog before the game and am pondering if I should go clubbing later. Somehow I feel that I’ve out grown clubbing – the loud music, hot and stuffy atmosphere with tons of people. I now prefer a more chill out getaway – lounge / bars drinking cocktails or even just a simple joint having a cup of tea.
As for my work, its been busy as usual. I hope to be challenged even more next year. The word year has sentimental meaning to me this week as come the 15th of September marks not only the first anniversary of the collapse of Lehman Brothers and the economy going to hell but also me having finished one year of professional work in my life – many more to come.
Some updates to share with everyone about everyone else. Qilian is now in London working with KPMG and my sister will soon start work with Man Group – all the best to the both of them in their budding careers.
Career is a word I hold dear along with a special someone which I’ve held a silent flame for too many years. She may or may not know, but the crux of the issue is that I’m unable to do anything about it at this point in time. So what do I do then?
… its time to return to the game.
I enjoyed a very nice night out with Lilian whom had finally finished her exams – soon to be Barrister.

Wonder where we are? We are actually dining at the balcony on the 1st floor of Chiquito overlooking Leicester Square enjoying Fajitas and Margaritas. What a pleasant day to have a night out. Thanks for the company Lilian.
She is special and I’m telling her now. She insists on multiple occasions she isn’t. She doubts herself, yearns for another life miles away – her life, is full of so many rose tinted thoughts.
My heart aches to see her not being able to accomplish her dream. Perhaps she just needs a different path to the same destination yeah perhaps. But she is special even if she thinks she’s not. She’s special and I’ll tell you why. Apart from the beauty and intelligence, which many have brushed aside and ignored, I’ve seen it and am bewildered by it.
Her passion is like a fire, which supercharges her appetite for success. She excels in what she does, in her work and in her leisure. Her energy to stay true to her passion is something that not many people have. She admires me for ‘living the life’ but I tell you I’m just lucky. Able to live it through again, I would wanna be able to go through the hard way with you and hold your hand through three rejections and wipe away the tear tricking down your cheek.
But I know you’re a fighter and will continue to try because that’s you. That’s why you’re special. Life is hard, but to know that I think you’re special, I hope spurs you on even more to strive for the success and career to you desire.
Well well, its been age since I last blogged. Did you miss me? My working hours has kinda been stablilise by my hunger to finish more in a day stretching to roughly ten hours a day which is fine by me.
The work I’m doing is interesting, it gets more interest by the day but I could use more. Enough about work, I learned she’s finally coming back to London. Even if its for a week, I am happy.
Although its sad I might only be able to meet her for one brief day before I go on my holiday, its not the quantity of time I speant with her, its the quality. I have so much to say, so much to do, I just hope when I see her, I won’t fumble. I really do miss her.
Yesterday, I got home to learned that President Obama had just landed at Standstead Airport. I turned on and soon got glued to the BBC news that was covering live, the Obama’s maiden arrival to the UK as President. The usual get out smile and wave for th photographers and he soon went straight for Marine One, his presidential helicopter.
It was then announced that he would be staying at the US Ambassodor’s residence in Regent’s Park. I got excited as Regent’s Park was just beside me. As I was preparing dinner, I soon heard the sound of the bladesof helicopters. No doubt in that, TV helicopters had gathered around. I stood on a chair in my balcony, peering to the sky and careful not to fall of the ledge, there it was, Marine One gave me a fly by. I waved as the helicopter flew by.
You may get to see AirForce in person but rarely to you get to see Marine One outside the US.
Okay, we all know President Obama is in town for the G20 meeting and that there has been a buildup of hype and propaganda over the Internet on the prospect of a large scale demonstration outside the Bank of England at Bank Tube Station. The plans included four marches each led by one of the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse towards the Bank of England. At mid-day, I headed out of my office with my camera to soak in the atmosphere. I wanted to see was this hype genuine or just an elaborate April Fool’s joke.
No joke alright.

There was indeed a huge turnout. However, when I first got to bank, only one of the four Horsemen had arrived. This was my first sight facing Bank Tube Station at the front of the Bank of England.

What good luck eh? That’s Russell Brand. He was speaking to a protester? Probably interviewing him. That certainly generated alot of buzz around him.

Another view from the side of the Bank of England.

Loud cheers greeted the arrival of the second Horsemen.

What’s a protest without posters and banners? True or false, its up to you to decide.

Another view of the protests at Bank Tube Station.

With so many people, an estimated 3,400 turnout, two horsemen are reunited.

Police were not shy in their numbers. They stood guard and kept a watchful eye out for any trouble makers.

Now this is something Startrek fans might agree with. In the fictional 24th century, money doesn’t exists because humanity had been able to put aside their differences and work together for peace and the betterment of mankind. The betterment of mankind should be what we should be looking at today.

Ah the third Horseman arrives.

Can you say that’s the fifth Horseman?

The shorter building in the center of this photograph is the RBS Branch which had its windows smashed. To the left is the Bank of England.

An effigy of a city worker which was later hung by protesters on top a traffic light.

Is that what we need?

Front view of Bank Tube Station.

Just how to these people get up there?

The rear of the Bank of England as I walked backed to office.
Now for the videos…
Shame on you!
The second Horseman arrives.
Red Horseman.
Alot of media.
Saved the best for the last as in this last clip as this was my first direct contact with protesters.
I must applaud the police for being able to maintain control over the protests although there were minor shuffles with the authorities. But I must question as to why the police did not let the protestors leave when the wanted to – the police had boxed the protestors in casuing some to be restless. This is the thought I leave for you to ponder on.
The matrix has you! It’s so hard to crack, even the Singaporeans can’t solve it.

Wonderful twenty minute clip by students and lecturers at Imperial College London. Click on above title for actual site.

This weekend was great. Friday night saw Andy and Wen Dee coming to London for the weekend. Plus Chia Hisen and the gang from Victoria Hall. All were in town for Imperial College’s Malaysian Night – Diamonds.
The play was alright but I loved the way they digged the other universities in London and one random jab at Cambridge. Haha. Oh and they had a gun which actually had a spark when the trigger was pulled.
That was pretty good pyrotechnics but then again, considering the amount of budget they had, they could pull it off.
It was nice for a change to have the peeps from Manchester drop in to London town, come again yeah?
Think of Sebby as highly intellectual although he wants to be more intellectual. To understand what this, first you must assume he's very arrogant to call himself 'highly intellectual' then you have to wonder if he has some humility to wanna be 'more intellectual' and then think is he really arrogant or humble? This is SebbyStyle.
